TYPES OF BRACES

  • Metal – made of stainless steel, they are the most commonly used appliance. Because of their small size, treatment is faster and more comfortable than other types of orthodontic braces
  • Ceramic – these braces are clear or tooth colored. They are more aesthetic than metal braces, slightly larger, and treatment may take a little longer
  • Retainers – removable appliances used in relapse cases or for minor corrections
  • Invisalign – these are a series of clear aligners which are removable and are used for various corrections. Consult with your orthodontist to determine if you are a candidate for this type of treatment
